Marseille, France, hosted the “First 1000 Days - Neuroscience and Early Childhood” conference in September to mobilize the world of science, research, and a wide range of stakeholders and partners in preparation for the WCECCE. The one-day event, organized by the Babilou Family Foundation and UNESCO, with the support of Ensemble for Early Childhood Education France, put in the spotlight conditions necessary for the development and fulfillment of toddlers, with a particular light shed on the essential findings of neuroscience about the binding effect of the first 1000 days of the child. The conference was a unique opportunity for an honest and interactive dialogue between renowned international neuroscientists, public and private actors, experts, and implementers, all committed to the need to conduct a substantial transformation of education that begins at a very early stage in the life of a child. IBE's Director, Mr. Yao Ydo participated in the plenary session.
