Repositioning Curriculum in Education Quality & Development-Relevance: Join the conversation!

At IBE, UNESCO’s Centre of Excellence in Curriculum and related matters, we believe that the curriculum is at the heart of education. Curriculum is to education what a constitution is to democracy and it can be viewed as the DNA of education. The curriculum has a key role to play in the achievement of the post-2015 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) related to education (SDG Four) and it is an essential means for attaining inclusive, sustainable, and holistic development.

We have the pleasure to present the UNESCO-IBE discussion paper on the repositioning and reconceptualization of curriculum. We also want to share the paper beyond the World Educatiom Forum held in Korea and engage a community of actors in the field of education. This is the reason why we have created a blog.

 

 

We invite you most warmly to participate in the discussion and share reflections and ideas. This informal space should be considered as a place to enhance and strengthen collective effort in regards of “what we believe is key for the realization of the SDG 4”.

We are looking forward to exchanging with you, strengthening a community of actors and leaders in the field of education, and providing advice and suggestions in order to “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” (SDG 4).
