UNESCO International Bureau of Education will join the Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Majed Ali Al Noaimi, in Manama, Bahrain from October 1-3, 2013 to participate in a three-day capacity-development workshop as the nation is currently in the process of curriculum renewal.
The IBE will share an international comparative perspective on curriculum visions, trends and issues that will stimulate reflection on the process of curriculum change in the country. The training will also address key curriculum concepts to inform a comprehensive understanding of such development processes. Finally, the workshop will generate a series of outputs intended to support the expansion of a national curriculum framework that integrates citizenship and human rights education. The workshop is the second segment of training under the Technical Assistance Project 2012-2017 signed in January 2013 by the Minister and IBE Director Clementina Acedo.
